Baked Crab Legs in Butter Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (453.59g) king crab legs
  • 4 tablespoons (56g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (approximately 1 tablespoon garlic)
  • 1-2 teaspoons (4g-8g) Creole seasoning
  • ½ tablespoon (7.5ml) lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon (3g) chopped chives or parsley
  • Lemon wedges to serve

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven is heating, prepare the crab legs for baking. Cut the crab legs in half to expose the crab meat. Kitchen shears or scissors work best for this task.
  2. Place the prepared crab legs in an oven-safe pan or on a baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and Creole seasoning. Microwave the mixture for approximately a minute. Remove from the microwave and add the lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
  4. Using a brush, generously coat the crab legs with the prepared butter mixture. Keep any leftover butter sauce for serving.
  5. Put the butter-coated crab legs in the preheated oven and bake for about 5 minutes, or until the crab legs are thoroughly heated through.
  6. Once baked, sprinkle the crab legs with freshly chopped parsley or chives.
  7. Serve immediately with the remaining butter sauce and lemon wedges for squeezing over the crab meat.
