CINNAMON BREAD

As the leaves start to turn and the air gets crisper, there’s nothing quite like the aroma of cinnamon wafting through the house. It’s a scent that promises comfort, warmth, and a little bit of magic. Today, I’m sharing a recipe that captures all of that in one simple loaf: Homemade Cinnamon Swirl Bread.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 Cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp of baking powder
  • 1/2 Tsp of salt
  • 1 Cup of milk
  • 1/4 Cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup of packed brown sugar

Preparation:

1. Oven and Pan:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2. Dry Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3. Wet Ingredients:

  • In a separate bowl, mix milk, melted butter, and egg until well combined.

4. Combine:

  • Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry, being careful not to overmix.

5. Cinnamon Sugar:

  • Mix ground cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl for the filling.

6. Layer:

  • Pour half the batter into the prepared pan, then evenly sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar over it.

7. Repeat:

  • Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.

8. Swirl:

  • Swirl the batter with a knife or skewer to create that beautiful marbled effect.

9. Bake:

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

10. Cool:

  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
