Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Lasagna noodles
  • 1 jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown Ground Beef: Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain any excess fat.
  2. Layer the Crockpot: Pour 1 cup of spaghetti sauce into the bottom of a 4-quart slow cooker.
  3. Toss the remaining sauce with the cooked ground beef.
  4. Place 2 uncooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce in the slow cooker.
  5. Spread 1/3 of the meat mixture over the noodles.
  6. Spread 3/4 cup of cottage cheese over the meat.
  7. Sprinkle 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese over the cottage cheese.
  8. Add another layer of uncooked noodles, 1/3 of the meat mixture, remaining cottage cheese, and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese.
  9. Add another layer of uncooked noodles, the remaining meat mixture, and the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  10. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  11. Cook in the Crockpot: Cook over low heat for 4 hours. If the cooking time is longer, the cheese will be a little more cooked.

  • You can customize this lasagna with additional ingredients like sliced mushrooms, spinach, or bell peppers.
