Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 2 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 small onions, sliced
  • 2 and ½ cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

Step 1:

  1. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper.

Step 2:

  1. Form the mixture into 8 balls, then flatten them into steaks.

Step 3:

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet and fry the patties until cooked through. Keep them warm.

Step 4:

  1. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until softened.
  2. Sprinkle with garlic powder and flour, stirring constantly for about a minute.
  3. Gradually add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth, stirring continuously. Cook for about 7 minutes until the mixture thickens.

The Last Step:

  1. Return the cooked patties to the skillet and simmer in the onion gravy for more than 10 minutes until fully heated through.
