Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 teaspoon dried basil
-
1 teaspoon dried oregano
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
¼ teaspoon black pepper
-
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
-
Wooden or metal skewers (if wooden, soak in water for 30 minutes)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat while you prepare the ingredients.
Step 2: Cut the Chicken
Slice each chicken breast into 1-inch cubes for even cooking and easy skewering.
Step 3: Prepare the Coating
In a mixing bowl, combine:
-
Grated Parmesan cheese
-
Minced garlic
-
Olive oil
-
Dried basil and oregano
-
Salt and black pepper
Mix until well blended into a thick, flavorful coating.
Step 4: Season the Chicken
Add the chicken cubes to the bowl and toss until each piece is evenly coated with the garlic-Parmesan mixture.
Step 5: Assemble the Skewers
Thread the coated chicken pieces onto your skewers, leaving small gaps between each piece to ensure even baking.
Step 6: Bake the Skewers
Place the skewers on a greased or foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown.
Step 7: Garnish and Serve
Once out of the oven, let the skewers rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
