Description

Biscuits & Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza – A game-changing mashup of flaky biscuit crust, creamy peppered sausage gravy, melty cheddar, and crispy sausage crumbles. Brunch just got a serious upgrade.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

  • 1/2 pound breakfast sausage

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Roll out the biscuit dough to fit your pizza pan or baking sheet.

  • Press the dough evenly to form a crust.

Step 2: Cook the Sausage

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked.

  • Drain excess grease and transfer sausage to a bowl.

Step 3: Make the Gravy

  • In the same skillet, add the flour to the sausage drippings and stir for 1 minute.

  • Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens into a smooth gravy.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4: Assemble the Pizza

  • Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the biscuit crust.

  • Top with the cooked sausage, followed by shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 5: Bake

  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve

  • Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.

  • Garnish with fresh chopped chives, if using.

Notes

  • Be sure to cook the sausage fully before assembling.

  • If your gravy thickens too much, thin it with a splash of milk.

  • Customize with your favorite breakfast toppings like peppers, mushrooms, or bacon.
