Description

Boston Cream Pie Fudge – A no-bake homage to the classic dessert! Layers of velvety vanilla fudge, glossy chocolate ganache, and buttery shortbread crumbs create a bite-sized indulgence that tastes just like the real thing.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (300g) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 cup (175g) white chocolate chips

  • ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream

  • 2 tbsp (30g) unsalted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup (50g) crushed shortbread cookies or vanilla wafer cookies


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pan

  • Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.

  • Leave an overhang on the sides for easy fudge removal.

Step 2: Make the Vanilla Layer

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine:

    • Sweetened condensed milk

    • White chocolate chips

    • Heavy cream

    • Vanilla extract

    • A pinch of salt

  • Stir constantly until the mixture is completely smooth and melted.

Step 3: Set the Vanilla Base

  • Pour the vanilla fudge mixture into the prepared pan.

  • Smooth into an even layer.

  • Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour, or until firm.

Step 4: Make the Chocolate Layer

  • In a clean saucepan, combine:

    • Semi-sweet chocolate chips

    • Heavy cream

    • Unsalted butter

  • Heat over medium-low, stirring until smooth and glossy.

  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

Step 5: Assemble the Fudge

  • Pour the warm chocolate ganache over the chilled vanilla layer.

  • Spread evenly with an offset spatula.

  • Immediately sprinkle crushed cookies over the top and press gently into the surface.

Step 6: Chill and Slice

  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes more or until fully set.

  • Once firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using parchment overhang.

  • Cut into 16 squares using a sharp knife.
