Ingredients
-
1 box brownie mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as instructed)
-
1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
-
1 cup chopped pecans
-
1/2 cup corn syrup
-
1/2 cup granulated sugar
-
2 large eggs
-
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
-
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
2. Prepare the Brownie Batter
-
In a medium bowl, prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions.
-
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pie crust and spread evenly.
3. Mix the Pecan Topping
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the pecans, corn syrup, sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
4. Assemble the Pie
-
Carefully pour the pecan mixture over the brownie batter.
-
Use the back of a spoon to spread the pecans evenly if needed.
5. Bake
-
Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted into the pecan layer comes out clean.
-
If the crust edges brown too quickly, tent them with foil halfway through.
6. Cool and Serve
-
Let the pie cool completely at room temperature before slicing.
-
Serve as-is, or elevate it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
