Description

A decadent duo! Fudgy brownie base meets gooey pecan pie topping—loaded with chocolate & caramel richness. Best served warm with ice cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ⅔ cup light corn syrup

  • ½ cup packed brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1¼ cups chopped pecans

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Oven and Pan

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Grease a 9-inch pie dish or square baking pan for easy release.

Step 2: Make the Brownie Layer

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

  • Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix gently until fully combined with no lumps.

  • Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.

Step 3: Prepare Pecan Pie Topping

  • In a bowl, whisk together light corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Stir in the chopped pecans, ensuring even distribution.

Step 4: Assemble and Bake

  • Carefully pour the pecan pie mixture over the brownie batter layer without disturbing the base.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45–55 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Step 5: Cool and Serve

  • Allow the pie to cool completely in the pan to let layers set for clean slices.

  • Slice into squares or wedges and serve.

Notes

This Brownie Pecan Pie combines two classic desserts into one show-stopping treat. Its rich chocolate base with a gooey, nut-packed topping makes it perfect for holiday parties, potlucks, or anytime you want to impress with minimal fuss.
