Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter pecan cake mix, coconut pecan frosting, eggs, oil, and milk. Mix until smooth and well blended. Fold in 1/2 cup chopped pecans.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool for 5–10 minutes. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes evenly across the top of the cake to allow the praline sauce to soak in.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture is warm and thickened. Add the chopped pecans and stir to combine.
While the sauce is still warm, slowly pour it over the cake, making sure it seeps into the holes. Use a spatula to spread the sauce evenly across the top.
Allow the cake to cool completely so the praline topping sets. Slice and serve at room temperature or chilled.
