Description

These golden puff pastry rolls are filled with smoky bacon, gooey cheddar, and tangy Dijon mustard. Flaky, buttery, and irresistibly savory—perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat and Prep:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cook the Bacon:
    • Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain on paper towels, then crumble into small pieces.
  • Prepare the Puff Pastry:
    • Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
    • Spread the Dijon mustard evenly over the pastry.
  • Add the Fillings:
    • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the mustard layer.
  • Roll and Slice:
    • Roll the pastry tightly into a log, starting from one of the longer sides.
    • Use a sharp knife to slice the log into ½-inch rounds.
  • Bake:
    • Place the slices on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
    • Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
    • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and puffed.
  • Garnish and Serve:
    • Let the rolls cool slightly, then garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
    • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a shiny finish, brush the rolls with an egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water).
  • If the pastry becomes too soft to handle, pop it in the fridge for 10 minutes before rolling.
