  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup unsalted butter

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Chopped fresh chives or parsley, for garnish


Instructions

1. Boil the Potatoes

  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.

  • Add diced potatoes and cook for 15–20 minutes, or until fork-tender.

  • Drain well and return the potatoes to the hot pot.

2. Prepare the Garlic Butter

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

  • Remove from heat and set aside.

3. Mash and Mix

  • Use a potato masher or hand mixer to mash the potatoes until mostly smooth.

  • Gradually add garlic butter and heavy cream, mixing until fully incorporated and creamy.

4. Add Cheese and Season

  • Fold in shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan.

  • Season with salt and black pepper to your liking.

  • Stir until cheese is melted and fully blended into the potatoes.
