Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef, cooked, drained
  • 1 cup Three Cheese Pasta Sauce (substitute as desired)
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1½ cups shredded Italian cheese blend (6 oz)
  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil leaves

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Meat Mixture: In a skillet, mix cooked ground beef and pasta sauce. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Create Crescent Crust:
    • Separate crescent dough into 8 triangles.
    • Place dough in an ungreased 9-inch glass pie plate in a spoke pattern, with narrow tips overlapping the rim of the plate about 3 inches.
    • Press the dough on the sides and bottom to form a crust.
    • Sprinkle 1 cup of the Italian cheese blend over the dough.
  3. Layer and Bake:
    • Spoon the prepared meat mixture evenly over the cheese-covered dough.
    • Bring tips of the dough over the filling to meet in the center; do not overlap.
    • Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheese and dried basil over the top.
    • Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
