Crab Rangoon Dip

  • Author: easysweetmeal
  • Total Time: 35-40 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

A warm, creamy, and cheesy dip inspired by the classic Crab Rangoon appetizer. This rich and flavorful dip combines tender crab meat, melty mozzarella, and a hint of garlic, making it the perfect crowd-pleaser for parties, game nights, or any gathering. Serve it with crispy wonton chips or crackers for the ultimate dipping experience!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened (creamy base)
  • 12 oz crab meat, drained and flaked (use imitation crab or fresh crab)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (adds gooey, melty goodness)
  • ½ cup sour cream (for tanginess and creaminess)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise (adds richness)
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (for a fresh, oniony bite)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for savory depth)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (adds umami flavor)
  • Wonton chips or crackers (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

 Combine Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, flaked crab meat, shredded mozzarella, sour cream, mayonnaise, sliced green onions, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Mix until everything is well combined and smooth.

 Transfer to Baking Dish:

  • Spread the mixture evenly into a baking dish (an 8×8-inch or similar size works well).

 Bake:

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.

 Serve:

  • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  • Serve warm with wonton chips, crackers, or your favorite dippers.

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, use a hand mixer to blend the ingredients.
  • If you don’t have wonton chips, tortilla chips or pita chips work well too.
  • Always taste and adjust the seasoning before baking.
