  • Yield: About 12 cookies

Description

Chewy cookie dough wrapped around a luscious cream cheese center—pure indulgence in every bite!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

2. Make the Cookie Dough

  • In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until light and creamy.

  • Add in the flour and baking soda, mixing until a soft dough forms.

  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

3. Make the Cream Cheese Filling

  • In a separate small bowl, mix the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.

  • Refrigerate for 5–10 minutes to firm up if needed.

4. Assemble the Cookies

  • Scoop about 1 tablespoon of cookie dough and flatten it slightly in your hand.

  • Place about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese filling in the center.

  • Top with another small scoop of dough, then gently seal the edges and roll into a ball.

  • Place cookies at least 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.

5. Bake

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the tops are just set.

  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

6. Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve warm for maximum gooey goodness or let them cool for a firmer center.

  • Perfect with a glass of milk or a hot cup of coffee.

Notes

  • For best results, use room temperature cream cheese and butter to ensure smooth mixing.

  • You can skip the food coloring for a more natural look.

  • These cookies are great for holiday cookie trays or make-ahead desserts.
