Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup chicken broth
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
8 oz angel hair pasta
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken
-
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
-
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
-
Cook the chicken for 6–7 minutes per side, or until golden and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F).
-
Transfer to a plate and set aside.
2. Build the Sauce
-
Reduce the skillet to medium heat. Add butter and minced garlic, sautéing for 1 minute.
-
Pour in chicken broth, scraping the pan to deglaze and lift all the flavorful bits.
-
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning.
-
Let the sauce simmer for 3–4 minutes, until slightly thickened.
3. Cook the Pasta
-
While the sauce simmers, cook angel hair pasta according to package instructions.
-
Drain and set aside.
4. Combine and Finish
-
Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
-
Simmer for 2–3 minutes to reheat and infuse the chicken with flavor.
-
Plate the pasta, top with chicken, and ladle extra sauce over everything.
-
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.
