Ingredients
- 1 large peach, peeled, pitted, and sliced into eight equal slices (or use canned peaches)
- 1 8-ounce tube of refrigerated crescent rolls (8-count)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup 7 Up or Mountain Dew
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare an 8 x 8-inch baking dish by buttering it lightly.
- Unwrap the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles.
- Place a peach slice on the wider side of each dough triangle and roll it up into a croissant shape.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Pour this sweet mixture over the rolled dumplings in the baking dish.
- Gently pour the soda around the dumplings, making sure not to pour it directly over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the dumplings turn golden brown.
- Serve these delicious peach dumplings hot, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top for an extra treat.
