Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth (divided into ¾ cup and ¼ cup)
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons ginger, finely chopped
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 pound boneless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
Directions:
- Prepare the Skillet:
- Heat a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Use cooking spray to coat the skillet to prevent sticking.
- Cook Chicken, Garlic, and Ginger:
- Add the chicken pieces, chopped garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Fry them until they are browned, which should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add Broth, Soy Sauce, and Sugar:
- Pour in ¾ cup of the chicken broth, along with the soy sauce and sugar. Stir to combine.
- Cover the skillet and let the mixture cook for 5 minutes. Remember to stir halfway through the cooking time.
- Introduce Broccoli:
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Cover again and continue to cook for another 5 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Thicken the Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining ¼ cup of chicken broth with the cornstarch until smooth.
- Pour this mixture into the skillet, stirring continuously, to thicken the sauce that coats the chicken and broccoli.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Once the sauce is thickened and the chicken and broccoli are well-coated, remove the skillet from the heat.
- Serve your delicious Stir-Fry Chicken with Broccoli hot. It pairs wonderfully with a warm vegetable salad or your choice of side.
