Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Prepare Baking Dish:
- Pour the melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- Make Batter:
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder, and milk.
- Optional: Add 1/8-1/4 teaspoon of salt to the dry ingredients.
- Layer Ingredients:
- Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking pan.
- Arrange the sliced peaches on top of the batter.
- Sprinkle 3/4 cup sugar evenly over the peaches.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven until the batter rises to the top and forms a nice brown crust, about 20-30 minutes.
