Description

Black Forest Cheesecake – A heavenly fusion of rich chocolate cheesecake and classic Black Forest flavors. Featuring a chocolate biscuit crust, velvety cocoa filling, and a glossy cherry topping, this decadent dessert is a stunning showstopper.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups crushed chocolate biscuits (like Oreos or chocolate graham crackers)

  • ¼ cup melted butter

  • 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ cup cocoa powder

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup cherry pie filling

  • ½ cup shaved dark chocolate or chocolate curls (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

  2. Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the base with parchment paper.

  3. Mix crushed chocolate biscuits and melted butter in a bowl until evenly combined.

  4. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form an even crust. Set aside.

Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Filling

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.

  2. Add sugar, mixing until fully incorporated.

  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract and cocoa powder.

  4. Pour in the heavy cream and mix until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Bake

  1. Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan.

  2. Smooth the top with a spatula.

  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 55–60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  4. Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool for 1 hour inside.

  5. Transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 3 hours (or overnight) for best results.

Step 4: Add the Toppings

  1. Spread cherry pie filling evenly over the chilled cheesecake.

  2. Garnish with shaved chocolate or curls for a decadent finish.
