Description
Kentucky Butter Cake Cookies pack the flavors of a buttery, moist cake into a soft, chewy treat. Drizzled with a rich glaze that soaks in, they offer the perfect balance of sweetness and buttery goodness. A quick, impressive dessert!
Ingredients
-
1 box of white cake mix
-
2 eggs, whisked
-
⅓ cup butter, melted
-
¼ cup butter
-
½ cup granulated sugar
-
1 tablespoon water
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the cookies from sticking.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, whisked eggs, and melted butter. Stir until a soft dough forms.
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place the dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden. Once done, remove from the oven and let the cookies cool slightly on the baking sheet.
While the cookies are cooling, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar and water, bringing the mixture just to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
While the cookies are still warm, spoon or brush the glaze over each one, allowing it to soak in and form a glossy top. Let the cookies cool completely before serving.
