Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 4 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add the cocoa to the melted butter and mix until smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar.
- Stir the cocoa and butter mixture into the flour and sugar mixture.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the mixture, mixing well until fully combined. If you’re using chopped nuts, fold them into the batter.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Check at 20 minutes to avoid over-baking.
Icing:
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1/4 cup canned milk (regular milk is fine)
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- Dash of salt
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, milk, and cocoa. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and a dash of salt to the mixture, mixing until smooth and creamy.
- Once the brownies have cooled, spread the icing evenly over the top.
