- ½ lb ground beef
- ½ lb ground pork (or use all beef)
- ½ cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
- 12 slider rolls (Hawaiian rolls work great!)
- 12 mozzarella cheese cubes (or shredded cheese)
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Meatballs
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and milk.
- Mix everything until well combined, but do not overmix.
- Roll into 12 equal-sized meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook meatballs for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and fully cooked.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Step 2: Assemble the Slider Bombs
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut each slider roll in half, creating a pocket (don’t cut all the way through).
- Spoon 1 tsp marinara sauce into each roll.
- Place one cube of mozzarella inside each roll.
- Add a meatball on top and press gently.
- Close the roll and pinch slightly to seal.
Step 3: Bake
- Arrange the filled rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and oregano.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
- Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
