Description

No-Bake Chocolate Coconut Balls (Moose Farts) – A Canadian classic! These easy, chewy treats combine chocolate, coconut, and sweetened condensed milk for a bite-sized delight. Perfect for holidays, potlucks, or anytime cravings strike. No baking required—just mix, roll, and enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14 oz / 300 ml) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut (fine or medium cut)

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

  • Additional graham cracker crumbs (for rolling)

Instructions

1. Combine Wet Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

2. Add Dry Ingredients

  • Stir in graham cracker crumbs, coconut, and chocolate chips until fully incorporated.

  • The mixture should be sticky but firm enough to scoop once chilled.

3. Chill the Mixture

  • Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, or until firm enough to roll into balls.

4. Shape the Balls

  • Scoop out 1 1/4-inch portions and roll into smooth balls using your hands.

  • Roll each ball in additional graham cracker crumbs to coat the outside.

5. Final Chill

  • Place rolled balls on a tray or parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate until fully set.

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • If the mixture feels too sticky after chilling, add a few extra tablespoons of graham cracker crumbs.

  • These are great for gifting—just package them in mini cupcake liners or decorative tins.

  • For a cleaner finish, roll using a small cookie scoop for uniform shape and size.
