Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package phyllo dough (thawed)

  • 8 oz feta cheese, cut into sixteen 1-inch logs

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • ½ cup honey

  • 1 tablespoon red chili flakes

  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Preheat and Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Layer the Phyllo

  1. Lay one phyllo sheet on a clean surface; brush lightly with melted butter.

  2. Top with a second sheet; brush again. Repeat until you have 4 layers.

3. Cut and Fill

  1. Trim the stacked phyllo to a neat rectangle.

  2. Cut into 3-inch-wide strips.

  3. Place one feta log at the end of each strip.

4. Roll and Seal

  1. Fold in the sides of the phyllo to enclose the feta.

  2. Roll tightly into a neat package.

  3. Place rolls seam-side down on the prepared sheet.

5. Bake to Golden Perfection

  1. Brush each roll with more melted butter.

  2. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until deeply golden and crisp.

6. Prepare Chili Honey

  1. While rolls bake, warm honey in a small saucepan over low heat.

  2. Stir in chili flakes and apple cider vinegar; remove from heat.

7. Drizzle and Serve

  1. Arrange warm feta rolls on a platter.

  2. Generously drizzle with chili honey.

  3. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.

Notes

  • For uniform rolls, trim phyllo edges to an even shape before layering.

  • Serve these as appetizers, snack bites, or even as a fun brunch item.

  • Leftover chili honey is delicious drizzled over ice cream or yogurt.
