Description

These Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft, chewy, and packed with rich peanut butter flavor and melty chocolate. With chopped Reese’s for an extra indulgent touch, they’re the perfect treat for any cookie lover!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar

  • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar, packed

  • ½ cup (125g) creamy peanut butter

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 cup (180g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup (150g) chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

2. Cream Butter and Sugars

In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).

3. Add Wet Ingredients

Mix in the peanut butter, then beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

4. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.

5. Fold in the Good Stuff

Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups.

6. Form Cookies

Scoop 1-inch dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart to allow room for spreading.

7. Bake

Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are still soft. Do not overbake.

8. Cool

Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

To get a bakery-style appearance, press a few chocolate chips or Reese’s chunks on top of the cookie dough before baking. This makes them look as good as they taste!
