Description
Cheese Biscuit Loaf – All the iconic flavors of Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits—but in a golden, sliceable loaf! Buttery, garlicky, and loaded with sharp cheddar, it’s perfect for tearing apart and serving warm alongside soups, seafood, or just on its own.
Ingredients
-
2 cups biscuit baking mix (such as Bisquick)
-
½ cup cold water
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
Instructions
1. Preheat and Prep
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Grease a standard loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
2. Make the Biscuit Dough
-
In a large bowl, combine the biscuit mix, cold water, and cheddar cheese.
-
Stir gently until a soft dough forms; do not overmix.
3. Bake the Loaf
-
Spread the dough evenly into the prepared loaf pan.
-
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
4. Prepare Garlic Butter Topping
-
While the loaf bakes, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley in a small bowl.
5. Brush and Cool
-
As soon as the loaf is out of the oven, brush the garlic-parsley butter over the top.
-
Let the loaf cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
-
This biscuit loaf is best served warm and fresh out of the oven.
-
For easier slicing, use a serrated bread knife once the loaf has cooled slightly.
-
Great for holidays, potlucks, or weeknight dinners.
