Directions:
- In a medium bowl, combine sugar, dry yeast, and hot milk. Stir to dissolve the yeast and sugar.
- Whisk the egg. Add the flour and a pinch of salt to the yeast mixture. Begin kneading the dough with a spatula.
- Continue kneading the dough with your hands until it becomes elastic.
- Add the softened butter to the dough and knead until the butter is fully incorporated.
- Form the dough into a ball, cover it with a tea towel or plastic wrap, and allow it to rise for an hour.
- After rising, divide the dough into 8 equal parts and roll each into a ball. Cover and let them rest for 30 minutes.
- Flatten each dough ball slightly and then roll it back into a ball shape. Cover and let them rest for an additional 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan or skillet over low heat. Fry the dough balls for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
- Allow the fried doughnuts to cool slightly, and then cut them in half lengthwise, like a burger bun.
- Fill half of the donut with whipped cream and chopped strawberries, then close it with the other half.
- Sprinkle the top with granulated sugar and serve.
