Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
2. Prepare the Cake Batter
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, vegetable oil, sour cream, eggs, strawberry puree, and vanilla extract.
- Mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.
3. Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl
- In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
4. Assemble the Cake
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the batter, creating a marbled effect.
5. Bake the Cake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
6. Prepare the Strawberry Cream Cheese Icing
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Stir in the strawberry puree and vanilla extract until the icing is smooth and spreadable.
7. Frost the Cake
- Once the cake has cooled, spread the strawberry cream cheese icing evenly over the top.
