Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
-
2 teaspoons honey
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
¼ cup chicken broth
-
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Butter Mixture
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and set aside.
Step 2: Sear the Chicken
-
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
-
Add chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temp: 165°F).
-
Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and cover loosely with foil.
Step 3: Make the Butter Sauce
-
Pour chicken broth into the same skillet.
-
Scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan – this adds major flavor.
-
Stir in the prepared butter mixture. Let it melt and simmer for 1–2 minutes until smooth and slightly thickened.
Step 4: Return Chicken to Skillet
-
Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet.
-
Spoon the buttery sauce over each piece until fully coated.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
-
Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley.
-
Serve hot with your favorite side dishes
Notes
-
Always check chicken with a meat thermometer for food safety.
-
Want to double the sauce? Go ahead! It’s delicious poured over sides like rice or mashed potatoes.
