Description

Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet – Juicy chicken in a rich, buttery sauce with honey, garlic, and smoky paprika. Ready in minutes and perfect over mashed potatoes or rice!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 teaspoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¼ cup chicken broth

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Butter Mixture

In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and set aside.

Step 2: Sear the Chicken

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temp: 165°F).

  3. Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and cover loosely with foil.

Step 3: Make the Butter Sauce

  1. Pour chicken broth into the same skillet.

  2. Scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan – this adds major flavor.

  3. Stir in the prepared butter mixture. Let it melt and simmer for 1–2 minutes until smooth and slightly thickened.

Step 4: Return Chicken to Skillet

  • Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet.

  • Spoon the buttery sauce over each piece until fully coated.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  • Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley.

  • Serve hot with your favorite side dishes

Notes

  • Always check chicken with a meat thermometer for food safety.

  • Want to double the sauce? Go ahead! It’s delicious poured over sides like rice or mashed potatoes.
