Description

Tiramisu Balls – Decadent, no-bake bites that capture all the magic of classic tiramisu! Mascarpone-laced coffee cream hugs crushed cookies, rolled in cocoa or chocolate for an elegant, fuss-free treat. Perfect for parties, edible gifts, or your next espresso break

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons espresso powder or instant coffee

  • 125 g cat tongue cookies or ladyfingers, finely crushed (about 1 ½ cups)

  • 200 g mascarpone cheese (about 7 oz)

  • 15 g powdered sugar (about 1 tablespoon)

  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional, e.g., Kahlúa or Tia Maria)

  • Cocoa powder or grated chocolate, for coating

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cookie Crumbs

  • Use a food processor to crush the cookies into fine crumbs.

  • No processor? Place cookies in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin until powdery.

Step 2: Make the Tiramisu Base

  • In a bowl, combine mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and coffee powder.

  • Mix until smooth and creamy.

  • Stir in the cookie crumbs until fully incorporated.

  • If using coffee liqueur, add now and mix again. The mixture should be soft but moldable.

Step 3: Roll into Balls

  • Scoop out small portions (about 1 tablespoon each) and roll between your palms to form smooth balls.

  • Place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.

Step 4: Coat and Chill

  • Roll each ball in cocoa powder or grated chocolate until fully coated.
