Green beans and tuna salad

Ingredients:

  • 500g green beans (blanched)
  • ¼ cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ¼ each of red, yellow, and green peppers, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Seven Colours Grill Seasoning
  • 1 can tuna
  • ½ cup mayonnaise or any dressing of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: cherry tomatoes

Method:

  1. Blanch the green beans:
    • In a saucepan, bring salted water to a boil.
    • Prepare an ice bath by combining cold water and ice cubes in a large bowl.
    • Add the green beans to the boiling water and blanch for 2-3 minutes until they are bright in color and crisp yet tender.
    • Remove the green beans from the saucepan and immediately plunge them into the ice bath. Allow them to sit for 5 minutes, then drain them.
  2. In another saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms, chopped peppers, and Seven Colours Grill Seasoning. Stir to combine.
  3. Add the blanched green beans to the saucepan with the mushrooms and peppers. Mix everything together and remove from the stove. Allow it to cool.
  4. Once the mixture has cooled, add the canned tuna (drained), mayonnaise (or dressing of your choice), and chopped fresh parsley. Stir until everything is well combined.
  5. Optional: Add cherry tomatoes for extra flavor and color.
  6. Serve and enjoy your Green Beans and Tuna Salad!
