Ingredients

  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 3 tsp apple pie spice
  • 1 can (8-count) Pillsbury Grand biscuits, not flaky layers
  • 243 g apple pie filling, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 113 g unsalted butter, melted

Equipment

  • air fryer
  • Mixing bowls
  • Spoon or spatula
  • cooking spray
  • Tongs

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, thoroughly combine the granulated sugar and apple pie spice, mixing well to ensure even distribution.
  2. Carefully separate each biscuit into two layers and gently press each layer into a 4-inch circle, creating 16 rounds.
  3. Mix the apple pie filling with cinnamon in a separate bowl, ensuring the apples are evenly coated with spice.
  4. Place about one tablespoon of the spiced apple filling in the center of each biscuit circle.
  5. Carefully fold and pinch the edges of each circle together, ensuring a tight seal, then roll into smooth balls.
  6. Spray your air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the prepared bombs about 2 inches apart.
  7. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 8–9 minutes, watching for a golden-brown exterior.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm! Serve with caramel sauce or vanilla ice cream. For extra crunch, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar after air frying. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheated in the air fryer for 2 minutes.
