This refreshing Apple Salad combines crisp apples, crunchy walnuts, and celery with a creamy yogurt or mayonnaise dressing, lightly sweetened with honey and brightened with lemon juice.

Salad Ingredients
  • 3 medium apples chopped
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt or mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup celery chopped
  • 1/4 cup walnuts chopped
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Wash and chop the apples into small pieces.
  2. Drizzle apples with lemon juice and mix.
  3. In a bowl, mix yogurt or mayonnaise with honey and salt.
  4. Add celery and walnuts to apples.
  5. Pour dressing over the mixture.
  6. Gently stir until evenly coated. Chill briefly and serve.

Notes

For a sweeter salad, use all yogurt and add extra honey. Walnuts can be toasted for extra flavor.
