Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Pastry brush
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and evenly blended.
  3. Unroll the dough and separate it into triangles. Add a spoonful of filling to the wide end, then roll tightly toward the tip, tucking the sides to seal.
  4. Place each roll seam-side down on the lined baking sheet.
  5. Brush the tops with melted butter. Sprinkle breadcrumbs if desired for extra crunch.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, serve warm, and enjoy!

Notes

Add spinach, mushrooms, or jalapeños for extra flavor. Try different cheeses like mozzarella or Swiss for variety. For a spicy version, mix in a little hot sauce or cayenne pepper. Swap crescent rolls for puff pastry or biscuit dough for a heartier texture. Sprinkle sesame seeds or crushed crackers on top for added crunch.
