Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 20 oz frozen cheese tortellini
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Large skillet
  • Large pot for boiling tortellini
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Aluminum foil

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, marinara sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add the cooked tortellini to the beef mixture and stir until well combined.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Customize this bake to your liking — add spinach, mushrooms, or extra cheese for more flavor. You can also swap ground beef for turkey or sausage. Serve with garlic bread or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
