  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 8 ounces macaroni pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic until fully cooked.
  2. Add tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes to blend flavors.
  3. Cook macaroni pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  4. In a greased casserole dish, layer pasta, beef mixture, and shredded cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy this cheesy, comforting casserole!

Notes

For added richness, mix a little sour cream into the beef layer. You can also substitute mozzarella with Monterey Jack for a creamier melt.
