Method
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic until fully cooked.
- Add tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes to blend flavors.
- Cook macaroni pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer pasta, beef mixture, and shredded cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes
For added richness, mix a little sour cream into the beef layer. You can also substitute mozzarella with Monterey Jack for a creamier melt.
