- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Cut biscuits into 1-inch pieces and spread them evenly across the bottom of the pan.
- Cook sausage in a skillet until browned. Drain excess grease and scatter sausage over the biscuits.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the sausage layer.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour egg mixture evenly over the casserole.
- Prepare the sausage gravy according to the package instructions. Pour the prepared gravy evenly over the casserole.
- Bake for 30–45 minutes, or until the casserole is golden, set, and cooked through.
Notes
For extra flavor, use spicy sausage or add a pinch of cayenne to the gravy. This is a great make-ahead breakfast — assemble the night before and bake in the morning.
