Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 21 oz blueberry pie filling 1 can
  • 1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen, optional
  • 8 oz cream cheese cubed
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats optional crumble topping
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar optional crumble topping
  • 2 tbsp butter cold, cubed (optional crumble)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread blueberry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the prepared dish. Sprinkle fresh or frozen blueberries on top if using.
  3. Toss cream cheese cubes with powdered sugar until coated, then distribute evenly over the fruit layer.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the entire dish. Do not stir.
  5. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much surface as possible.
  6. If using the crumble topping, mix oats, brown sugar, and cold butter until crumbly and sprinkle over the top.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly around the edges.
  8. Cool slightly before serving. Serve plain or with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For extra richness, use butter sliced thinly instead of melted to cover more cake mix evenly.
