Method
- Line a 9×9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, heavy cream, and unsalted butter. Stir until it boils, then remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Mix until smooth.
- In another saucepan, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, milk, cornstarch, and powdered sugar until thickened. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Spread the prepared vanilla custard layer evenly over the chocolate layer once it is set.
- Spread chocolate frosting over the vanilla layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For a firmer fudge, let chill overnight. You can also drizzle extra melted chocolate on top for decoration.
