Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups granulated sugar foundation of the fudge
  • 1 cup heavy cream adds richness and creamy texture
  • 1 cup unsalted butter provides buttery flavor and smooth consistency
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips creates the rich chocolate layer
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk adds extra creaminess and sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract enhances overall flavor
  • 1 cup powdered sugar used in the vanilla layer for sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch helps thicken the custard layer
  • 1/2 cup milk adds creaminess to the custard layer
  • 1/2 cup chocolate frosting creates a glossy top layer

Method
 

  1. Line a 9×9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, heavy cream, and unsalted butter. Stir until it boils, then remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Mix until smooth.
  3. In another saucepan, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, milk, cornstarch, and powdered sugar until thickened. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Spread the prepared vanilla custard layer evenly over the chocolate layer once it is set.
  5. Spread chocolate frosting over the vanilla layer.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For a firmer fudge, let chill overnight. You can also drizzle extra melted chocolate on top for decoration.
