- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and chai spice.
- Beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, mixing until smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Whisk powdered sugar, brewed chai tea, and vanilla until smooth to make the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled cake before serving.
Notes
Enhance with extra spice by adding a pinch of black pepper. Try baking in a bundt pan for a more decorative presentation. Best enjoyed with a hot cup of chai or coffee.
