Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- Melt butter and dark chocolate together until smooth.
- Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Spread brownie batter evenly in the prepared pie dish.
- In a bowl, whisk brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt for the pecan layer, then stir in pecan halves.
- Carefully spread pecan mixture over the brownie layer.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes until set. Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
For a richer flavor, toast the pecans lightly before adding them to the topping. Allow pie to cool completely to ensure clean slices.
