- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, letting the edges overhang for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the melted butter with the brown sugar until smooth and glossy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt over the wet ingredients, then fold gently until combined. Do not overmix.
- Stir in the butterscotch chips and toffee bits until evenly distributed.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden at the edges and just set in the center.
- Cool completely in the pan. Lift out using the parchment overhang and cut into squares.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top before baking. These bars freeze beautifully — just wrap tightly and store for up to 2 months. Warm slightly before serving for gooey texture.
