Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 28 oz bag shoestring French fries
  • 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 10.5 oz can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp pickle juice
  • 1/2 tsp dehydrated onions
  • Black pepper, to taste (for sauce)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer and cook the French fries according to package instructions.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and diced onions until no pink remains. Add minced garlic, cooking for 30-45 seconds. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess grease.
  4. Mix the cream of mushroom soup and cheddar cheese soup into the beef mixture until well combined.
  5. Transfer the beef mixture into a 7x11 casserole dish. Layer cooked French fries on top and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake the casserole at 350°F for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  7. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, dehydrated onions, and black pepper until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the burger sauce over the casserole before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, use crinkle-cut fries or tater tots instead of shoestring. Add diced pickles, jalapeños,  bits for a cheeseburger deluxe twist. Pairs perfectly with a simple side salad.
