- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well.
- Remove from heat and mix in the cream of mushroom soup, ketchup, and mustard until fully combined.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into the bottom of the dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots on top in a single layer.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until tater tots are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Add pickles on top if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding chopped pickles or a drizzle of burger sauce on top before serving. You can also use cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom, or swap cheddar for a blend of cheeses.
