Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 2-3 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • salt and pepper, to taste

  • Large pot for parboiling potatoes
  • skillet for browning kielbasa and onion
  • 9x13 casserole dish
  • Mixing bowl for soup and milk mixture
  • wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook sliced potatoes until slightly tender.
  3. In a skillet, cook kielbasa and onion until browned.
  4. In a greased casserole dish, layer potatoes, kielbasa mixture, and shredded cheese.
  5. Mix cream of mushroom soup with milk and pour over the layers.
  6. Top with additional cheese and bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Use smoked kielbasa for a richer flavor. Add diced bell peppers or garlic for extra depth. Try experimenting with different cheeses like gouda or pepper jack for a unique twist.
