Ingredients

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • pastry brush or spoon (for butter)
  • Oven

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  3. Place a spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center of each triangle. Fold dough around filling to form a ball, pinching edges to seal.
  4. Dip each dough ball into melted butter, then roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  5. Place dough balls on prepared baking sheet and bake 10–12 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes

For extra indulgence, drizzle with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and milk, or serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can also try swapping the cherry filling for apple or blueberry for variety.
