  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 package (6 oz) stuffing mix
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, half the cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir together stuffing mix, chicken broth, and melted butter until moistened.
  4. Spread the chicken-broccoli mixture evenly into the baking dish.
  5. Layer the stuffing mixture on top.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until hot and bubbly with a golden crust.
  8. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make ahead: Assemble up to a day in advance, cover, and refrigerate until ready to bake. For extra creaminess, add a splash of milk or an extra spoonful of sour cream. Swap cheddar for mozzarella or Monterey Jack for a milder flavor. Serve with a green salad or cranberry sauce on the side.
