Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Saucepan
  • Pastry brush
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Place a generous tablespoon of the chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough around the filling, tucking sides to form a pillow shape.
  5. Place the chicken pillows on a greased baking sheet. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: in a small saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream and remaining Parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese melts and sauce is smooth.
  8. Remove pillows from oven, drizzle with creamy Parmesan sauce, and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Use leftover rotisserie chicken for quick prep. You can add a pinch of crushed red pepper for a spicy kick, or swap cheddar for mozzarella for a milder flavor. These also freeze well before baking — just thaw and bake as directed.
