Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs and Dijon mustard, and one with crushed pretzels.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in the egg mixture, and press into crushed pretzels until well coated.
- Place coated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
- For the sauce: In a saucepan, heat milk over medium heat. Stir in shredded cheddar until melted.
- Add Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Serve chicken hot with mustard-cheddar sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a crisp green salad. The mustard-cheddar sauce also makes a delicious dip for fries or soft pretzels!
